Best Ways to Make Money Online…
November 9, 2008 – 11:33 amOne the main questions that we get from members at WA is whether or not they should start with PPC or a technique like article marketing.
Either way, you will be on the right track…but there are financial constraints with PPC, whereas ANYONE can partake in a successful article marketing or SEO campaign.
So, should you go free or paid?
Well, this is up to you. We do not know your situation or your experience. Because of this we have created an outline of the benefits and drawbacks involved with both types of marketing. From this, you can choose your path:
No Cost (Article Marketing)
————————————–
Benefits:
- doesn’t cost anything
- gain valuable marketing experience
- learn to become a pro copywriter
- no financial risk
Drawbacks:
- some successes are very short term
- not as scalable as PPC
- time investment
We recommend…
Article marketing (and SEO) is for ANYONE that is just getting started in the Internet marketing world or has not yet achieved success online. It doesn’t cost anything and the experience you gain when creating article marketing campaigns is high octane. You learn about understanding audiences, researching keywords and creating targeted campaigns…all skills that are important with PPC success and are transferable. If you are on a tighter budget or just starting out, we suggest you start with Article Marketing. Once you gain experience and have some seed money from your article marketing activities, you can definitely start moving over to PPC.
Cost (PPC)
————————————–
Benefits:
- more instant results
- huge earning potential
- more scalable
- predictable results
Drawbacks:
- risk losing money
- more “rules” go into successful campaign
- can be competitive
We recommend….
PPC marketing is for anyone with a budget that is willing to learn before they “do”. PPC marketers fail when they do not understand how engines like Google Adwords and YSM function OR when they do not research an audience before they promote to them.
PPC results are measurable and anything that can be measured can be improved upon. Additionally, once you become an experienced PPC marketer, each campaign you set-up will become predictable. Once you “get” the formula of PPC success down, you are well on your way to long term income online.
$1000 per day is possible with a SINGLE PPC campaign!
PPC is good if you can handle a little risk, but the rewards can far outweigh the risk.
Can you do both?
Absolutely, in fact we recommend it. If you are pure beginner, we recommend starting with article marketing and then transitioning over to PPC once you have some experience. If you have some marketing experience and a budget to support a PPC campaign, this could be your starting point. You could then write articles to supplement your traffic. Either way having experience in both will be highly beneficial.
Why WA makes sense…
At Wealthy Affiliate we offer training in both marketing techniques (and many other). We have mastered both and made millions of dollars online to date with our PPC and article marketing efforts.
We have also helped 1000’s of people achieve success in both. We have a mixed group of members at WA, some are article marketers, some are PPC marketers, some both, and some are merchants. Whichever path you want to take, we will be there to help.
We do not just show you the WHY; we show you exactly how to do it. We have seen it all and probably done it all. With a combined 13 years experience online, we know what it takes to succeed, and we can help you get there. Whether you are just starting out or want to expand your business, we can offer assistance and training in both.
And finally, on November 12th, 2008 we are going to be introducing something to Wealthy Affiliate that is going to help everyone succeed. We are going to make an offer that is exclusive to Wealthy Affiliate members and if you have ever wanted the “full ride” training, everything from start-up to success, you will want to be on board for this.
This is just a few days away…and you will want to be a part of this! Join Wealthy Affiliate!
Take Care and we will speak with you soon,
Kyle (& Carson)

I have been trying to learn Internet marketing for six years . Now I found Full Sail University, that teaches what people seen to leave out when they sell there classes and programs. I am not knocking these people, I have a goal of making $100,000 plus per month and I know that in Internet Marketing it CAN BE DONE. I also think that there desent programs out there and that Kyle and Carson’s Program is a good one

You can also branch out SEO to revenue share sites. Post articles to sites that display Google Adsense ads so you make money and reap the benefits of SEO. Free Marketing and Money =)
Revenue sharing sites like Flixya.com and Hubpages.com are great ways to generate Google Adsense revenue without needing to host a website. Also great that they have done the hardwork for users to enjoy the benefits. Not sure how Flixya makes money, but they pay 100% of the ad revenue to users.

i am such a newbie that i don’t know precisely what article marketing is. would i be “selling” through this article or just making readers aware of my presence? if i was selling, what might i be selling. where would i place this article? maybe someone could explain to this rookie.

I am very eager too but the handicap I am having now is my old age, just passing over 76 . I,m very afraid that my ability as far as the the will is decling very slowly but surely will blocking me to some extent easily giving up when doing things. I then assume I will surely fail before “fighting it up”.Thanks, BJ

Great advice once again K&C. I learned the expensive way, don’t start with PPC until you learn the ropes with AM. Now I am back at square one following this advice!
As a WA member I can attest to the great information that is made available once you join WA. In fact, I have found on several occasions information I have paid for by ordering e-products was ALREADY AVAILABLE as part of my membership at WA!!
Excellent forum at WA filled with very helpful and smart people plus tons of tools and training support. As a recent newbie myself, I recommend a WA membership be the #1 thing you do when just starting out. Wish I knew then, what I know now about WA. Would have saved a heap of money and made a lot less mistakes!!!

Hi,
Good start, but it seems like you guys are consistantly ignoring two main trens in IM: (1)Ebay marketing, and (2)YouTube marketing.
We all here (your loyal audience) would appreciate if you could expand your horizons to these hot arenas as well
Keep the good work!

After reading through the comments above, several thoughts come to mind. The Internet is the one place where I’m not aware of any age discrimination. I’ve heard of 13 & 14 year olds making big money and I’m sure there are most likely 80 + year olds doing likewise. I’m almost 75 and still working toward a profitable Internet career. Thank goodness I found Wealthy Affiliate a few months ago.
I had a high school teacher who recently passed on after celebrating her 100th birthday. And she was using her computer until a short time before passing on.
So, like Henry Ford said, “if you think you can, you can” and vise versa.
Therefore, with this level playing field that Kyle and Carson have so greatly contributed to, we have no excuses.
Thanks guys,

How does one use a webite? Is one needed for article marketing? If not , how do I cintact people? This has been so confusing. You guys make sense, however, I am not making money. I need to get started. (I have little faith in my ability to get going.) I shall make it one day.
