Finding a Niche through the “how”… (PART 2)
Last post we showed you how to leverage “how to” websites to perform audience research and to uncover new niches. Today we are going to take this one step further and show you how to advance these research skills by leveraging something that is common to all of us.
The THESAURUS!

In part one, we took the example of using “unemployment” to find information as to what problems people are looking to resolve in relation to the search term “unemployment”.
As you and I both know, there are many different terms out there that have the same meaning as the root word, employment.
In this situation, we are going to use a different example however, showing you the exact process.
Let’s take a phrase, say “more money”. Using the thesaurus, we can find a bunch of terms that mean the exact same thing.
We plugged “money” into the thesaurus. Here was the result:

Now you add:
more + money_synonym
…to create your list of phrases (that you will then use with the 3 “how” sites).
Here is what we came up with:
“more money”
“more cash”
“more dollars”
“more loot”
“more green back”
“more coin”
“more bucks”
“more wage”
“more wealth”
“more riches”
“more salary”
“more dough”
“more pesos”
Now we follow the same process as before, using our generated list of “same meaning” search terms. Plug a few of these into the sites below and you will get a much more diverse set of results.

Again, here is the process for researching:
(1) Type in a keyword related to the industry you are searching
(2) Create a list of all the questions people are asking within that topic
(3) Probe to find the hot button (people search for a how, but behind all of this there is a “why” …why does this person want to lose weight
(4) Formulate a campaign from your findings
Now instead of just one keyword, you have 13 search terms to type in that are all similar and will give you much greater insight into an industry and the problems that people are looking to resolve.

Yes I agree with a few comments here ,seems there is not much real information out there for beginners,everybody claims this system is easy and can be applied by anybody with no knowledge of the industry . Well think again folks ,I have joined a few courses and programs over the last eight months and all have failed to deliver any practical knowledge to any new marketer ,all I have learned so far is by trial and error or pure investigation on my part . For example I am a Ham Radio Operator ,if I was to explain basic electronics and propagation to a few people with no knowledge of the subject matter how am I to expect them to understand if I do not teach them the mechanics behind the subject . After all a teacher is only as good as their students .

I am over 65 and so, do not understand the computer language you young people use. I haven’t joined WA as yet because I can not read between the lines that you folks use. If you don’t explain things in a step wise manner, I’m afraid I would not understand what you were saying. Also, when you give answers, you think we all understand the unclear terms you use. WE DON’T! When you answer our questions, why can’t you immagine that you are speaking to a total Newbee?
Just take Facebook as an example. Anyone, even me can get on Facebook….but we can’t find any instructions on how to use the pages we find there. They expect us to “just try different things….you will eventually figure it out” Well that kind of thinking is not for an active experienced older person.

you are completely on your own without support and if you do reach someone within their organization
you will need more money to solve a simple problem!

I feel with you as I do understand the volume of scams that are out there on the Internet. It is unfortunately, but the problem is that guru’s (I hate that word BTW) continue to succeed because people continue to fall for their crafty sales pages and their sneaky purchasing plans. WE ARE NOT GURU’S.
Carson and I have built our community off of helping people succeed and our decisions are based on “what will be best for members”…not how can we make more money. This shows within our community as people are friendly, helpful and ultimately successful.
We would love to have you as a member of WA, but it is completely up to you. I can assure you that we are not a scam and our #1 focus is to train people to succeed.

I have been confused by many internet gurus who also ripped off my money, wasted my value time and got nothing in return.
I am new to this internet marketing. Really I am looking for internet marketing experts who consider humanly and do not want to take peoples money for giving nothing. I really discover that most internet marketers mind only how to get money from the people and not willing to give the missing puzzle in the internet marketing, this is totally robbery.
What you wrote on your blog post finding nich How is interested! but Iam not still convinced.

When I couldn’t get a reply back re.a question I had after joining WA I decided to quit! I keep getting email from Kyle to comeback to WA but he never refers to the reason I left in the first place. This comment is meant to get an answer back from Kyle. If I get a reply back from Kyle I will reconsider his offer to rejoin.

Have been interested in internet marketing for a while now and started reading every bit of info I can get on the subject. All of the gurus promise success (as Kit and Kyle) but seem to assume interested people already know how to set up (and most of all) work a web site. I’m totally intimidated with the process.
How do the mechanics work? Will Wealthy Affiliate teach me how to mechanically work the site, like where to go to make the commands, how to command, how to work with HTML code and such. They say even a total beginner can do this, but I am yet to find the basic nuts and bolts program to get the ball rolling from a total newbie stand point. Please, someone respond.
I read and saw the blog but not clear at all. Is it that I am not expertise on IT/ computer technology? But I am interested to know details about the issue.

Hard work and taking action on what you learn. As with any business the more time and energy you invest, the greater the rewards. Also, common sense is a big one. Since you are dealing with consumers, you need to think like one (which we all are). Often times people think only of the process, not the actual entities involved!
I’m very impressed with all that I see here as far as the quality and quantity of internet marketing resources that you provide. What still puzzles me a little is: What are the necessary values, skills and attributes of a successful Internet marketeer? What precisely does a normal day involve? Could someone spell out for me %-wise, what skills produce the greatest rewards in this business?

Brilliant tips. Choosing the right niche to start and affiliate program is THE most important decision as this will determine your future success.
