It teaches you how to sell ads on your site, (for a whole lot more than Goggle pays you), so you don't need Adsense and You control what ads go on your site, so they are not direct competion. When you sell these ads you can cover your advertising costs and not lose customers to Adsense. There are a lot of good adevrtising concepts in this book that have been done offline for years.
