Our “How To” on Finding Profitable Niches

Every single day there are 100’s of frustrated Internet marketers out there banging their heads against the wall for ONE very big reason.

They can’t find a niche for the life of them!!

Quit being so dang hard on yourselves. Niche hunting should be fun, should be ad hoc, and should be a habit if you are a marketer.

I am going to outline one proven and effective niche finding tactic that you can incorporate into your daily research activities. I say “daily” because you should always be doing research, whether you are really coherent to it or not.

Niches will come out of thin air…

When you are at the bus stop, when you are at the shopping mall, when you are flipping through a mag, when you are browsing through Facebook…wherever there are people communicating, advertising mediums or an audience searching to make purchases, there are plenty of niches

Sorry for ranting, but now I will get to the goods…the strategy, the easiest way to find super motivated and hyperactive buyers. People that are ready to make an emotional purchase and all you have to do is put something out in front of them to buy and they will complete the sale!

Look no further than the How To’s.

People that search “how to XXXX” into Google or any other search engine…and even if they are talking about it, are actively looking for a solution to a problem.

That is easy enough, right?

Well, your job is made even that much easier with the addition of new “How To’ Q & A and Wikipediaesque websites.

The following are some of the top “how to” website that you should take some time familiarizing yourself with:

• WikiHow
• eHow
• Yahoo Answers

Spend a couple minutes (or even an hour) on these sites and you are going to have an idea of some of the queries that people are searching online, but also some of the inner intricacies of these audiences.

People wanting to know how to prepare their child for camp…
People are wanting to know how to heal cavities using Ozone….
People are wanting to know how to attend college to become a teacher…

You could pull literally 1000’s of ideas for niches just by roaming these sites. Take some time and learn the “how to’s” within an industry; YOU WON’T REGRET IT!

An article a day, keeps your campaigns in check…

All the time we get this…

“How come my article isn’t converting?”

Excuse moi? Did you say article or articles?

The reason most people fail at article marketing is the simple fact that they do not have a regular article marketing schedule. All too often people spend days (and sometimes even weeks) writing that perfect article…that article that is going to make them rich.

I can tell you from experience that you are better off spending 5 hours writing 5 articles, than tinkering around with the SAME article for 5 hours.

Someone that has 5 articles is 5 times more likely to get a page listed within the search engines and at a good position. We recommend that you create yourself a schedule and write 1 or 2 articles/day for a couple of weeks, and THEN analyze what you have done.

At this point you can refine your campaigns as you will likely be receiving traffic at this point.

Think about this.

If you write 1 article per day for an entire year, you will have 365 articles potentially receiving traffic. Say you only average 40 clicks per article throughout the course of the year (some will produce more some less).

You would have obtained 14,600 free clicks in a year. ALMOST 15,000 FREE CLICKS!

If you were using PPC, this traffic could have cost you well over $7000!! This is something you rub in the face of your PPC marketing friends!

One article per day, keeps your campaigns in check! Remember this.

Here are a couple of tips that will help you get listed within the SE’s.

(1) social bookmark your articles using sites like del.icio.us, digg.com, stumbleupon.com, propeller.com, reddit.com. These incoming links will improve the likelihood of your articles getting indexed and also boost rankings.

(2) Submit different articles to different article directories. Some will achieve better results for you than others. A few of the best are:

www.squidoo.com
www.hubpages.com
www.usfreeads.com
www.goarticles.com

(3) Use article marketing tools to your advantage. Kicking things into HIGH gear at WA (about time we got a blog!!!!)

Well, we have finally decided to put together a blog at Wealthy Affiliate. Where the heck have we been and why have we been so “old school” by not having a blog?

Well, our perception was that we never really needed a blog. We could communicate anything and everything that we wanted to our subscribers through email, however we were missing something that is more critical than we ever imagined.

The average visitor to WA that did not want to become part of our newsletter would never get to see how regularly we update WA, the regular messages that we deliver outlining industry news, and the type of Internet marketers we truly are (we don’t like to be consider Guru’s by the way)!

So, here it is…the introduction of the Wealthy Affiliate Blog!

We would like to thank-you first and foremost for visiting our blog, and secondly for bearing with us for the long delay on the addition of our blog. Sometimes we become too member “focused” and lose vision of the people whom are not are members.

Obviously our members at Wealthy Affiliate are first and foremost, but we like to help people…so we would love to help anyone out who visits this blog. We are here for the people, not to get rich off of someone else’s debt or emotions. We have made our money online and now it is time to give back, but we do have to charge a nominal fee for our services.
